LYNN – Both the St. Mary’s girls and Lynnfield boys soccer teams were thwarted by Georgetown High Saturday in their bids for Division 3 state soccer championships.St. Mary’s fell in the North girls final, 5-1, to the Royals while the Pioneers were blanked, 2-0, in their North final.Both games were played at Manning Field.Despite the losses, Manning Field will still the focal point of state soccer this week, as both the Divisions 2 and 3 state semifinals will be held there.There are also three north sectional final games scheduled for Sunday at the field, including the 5:30 Division 1 girls matchup between Peabody and Chelmsford.For complete coverage, read Monday’s Daily Item
