SALEM – Bail for a Lynn man, facing a potential life sentence in state prison for allegedly raping a teenage girl at a Saugus motel, remains at $50,000 cash following his arraignment in Salem Superior Court.Hector Grijalva, 34, of 710 Summer St., Lynn, pleaded innocent to three counts of aggravated rape of a child before Judge Timothy Q. Feeley.As jointly recommended by the prosecutor and defense, the judge set the high bail amount agreed and left the door open for a bail review at another court hearing.In the meantime, Grijalva remains held at the Middleton Jail.Conditions of his bail are that he have no contact, including electronic contact, with the victim and her immediate family.The charges arise out of incidents in Saugus when he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl three times at a Saugus motel on Broadway on or about May 10, 2010, on or about June 9, 2010 and again on or about Aug. 10, 2010.The victim was acquainted with Grijalva, according to reports.Grijalva was arrested in September following an investigation.Assistant District Attorney James P. Gubitose is prosecuting the case.Public defender Alice Jayne is representing Grijalva since he has been deemed indigent, meaning he has no funds to hire his own attorney. The state will pay all costs, but he is obligated to pay $150 towards the legal representation.
