SALEM – A Swampscott car dealer who allegedly stiffed three people out of luxury cars after he agreed to sell vehicles to them was expected to plead his case out Tuesday in Salem Superior Court, but in a last-minute decision he instead opted for a trial.Daniel Wright, 46, last known address of 203 Humphrey St., Swampscott, is charged with four counts of larceny more than $250, two counts of forgery and two counts of uttering a false document, allegations he has denied.A trial date of April 9 was scheduled with an interim date of Feb. 6 to file motions and final pre-trial date of March 19. The trial is expected to last four to five days.In the meantime, Wright remains free on bail.
