LYNNFIELD – The power is back on in Lynnfield after utility crews worked to restore a power line downed by a large tree branch, according to an engineer with the Peabody Light Department.Brian Howcroft said a large tree branch fell on a high-voltage electric line near Salem Street and Dewing Road in Lynnfield at about 5:20 p.m., damaging equipment and cutting power to most of the utility company’s Lynnfield homes and businesses.Howcroft said wind was likely a contributing factor for the felled tree.The power outage caused back ups along Route 1 northbound near Lynnfield.Utility workers got the line up and running by 6:20 p.m. this evening, Howcroft said.
