SALEM – A local couple who have confessed to robbing a man at knifepoint at a Boston Street ATM and then carjacking a car on Locust Street in Lynn last year were given state prison terms with probation.Ferdinand R. Parziale, 30, of 12 Hayes St., Lynn, and Mariel Delgado, 25, of 5 Pennybrook Gardens, #14, Saugus, pleaded guilty in Salem Superior Court earlier this week to charges of carjacking as well as unarmed robbery and armed robbery before Judge David A. Lowy.Parziale was sentenced to 3 to 41/2 years in state prison with three years of probation when he is released.Delgado also pleaded to additional charges of leaving the scene after causing property damage and receiving stolen property involving the case.She was sentenced to serve 11/2 to 41/2 years in state prison.Assistant District Attorney Jean M. Curran told Lowy she was prepared to show at trial that the charges arise out of an incident on the evening of June 13, when they stole $60 at knifepoint from a man who had just withdrawn cash out of an account at the Bank of America ATM on Boston Street.
