SALEM – A Boston man charged with fatally stabbing a Lynn man in Salem in 2010 is scheduled to go on trial Monday morning in Salem Superior Court.Jonathan M. Rivera, 23, of 20 Ruggles Ave., Boston, is charged with the stabbing death of Shaundell Turner on April 7, 2010.Turner, 30, of 382 Essex St., Lynn, was stabbed once in the chest around noon near 50 Palmer St. in Salem, after the two men reportedly got into an argument resulting in the fatal stabbing.Police say Rivera fled from the scene and was tracked down the following day at a Ramada Inn in Dorchester, where he was arrested without incident.Rivera has pleaded innocent to the charge and remains held without bail at the Middleton jail pending the fate of his case.Judge David A. Lowy will preside over the trial.Assistant District Attorney Kristen R. Buxton is the prosecutor and Edward Hayden is the defense attorney in the case.
