There were lots of happy coaches around the North Shore Saturday ? and a few disappointed ones as well.But by far, the happiest of them all had to be Bishop Fenwick’s Dan Lynch. The Crusaders, after dropping their first seven games, got into the “W” column Saturday with a 4-2 win over St. Bernard’s of Worcester.Joe Shea had the hat trick for the Crusaders, who actually fell behind, 2-1, after two periods before exploding for three goals in the final 15 minutes.”We controlled the game, and the tempo,” said Lynch. “Our defense played very well.”So did the goalie. Pat O’Leary had 20 saves.In two of the three periods, Fenwick outshot St. Bernard’s by a wide margin.”We’ve hung in there, and we haven’t quit,” Lynch said. “Lots of teams could start out the way we did and pack it in. We didn’t.”Mike Napolitano picked up three assists for the Crusaders.Danvers 2, Swampscott 1At Salem State, Gino Cresta got Swampscott off to a 1-0 lead after a period, with help from Matt Videtta and Chris Carman. But singletons by Danvers in the second (J.D. Hodgkins) and third (A.J. Couto) propelled the Falcons.Swampscott goalie Patrick Sheehan stood on his head, with 35 saves for the Big Blue (5-2-1 overall; 3-1-1 in the Northeastern Conference/South).Peabody 3, Lynn 2At Connery Rink, the Tanners (3-4) got a scare when junior defenseman Matt McIsaac went down with a shoulder injury in the third period and had to be taken from the arena via ambulance.”But,” said coach Mark Leonard, “he should be OK.”McIsaac’s injury seemed to inspire the Tanners, however. Before McIsaac got hurt, they were down. Afterward, they scored three goals in the third period.Eric Costa had a goal and an assist in the third period for Peabody, as did Nick Salalayko. Reed Foster scored the other Peabody goal.Ryan MacDonald and Mark Brazell scored for the Jets (2-3-1).Lynnfield 7, Amesbury 2At Amesbury, Lynnfield’s first unit went to town on the Indians, with Greg Meininger and John Festa scoring two goals and two assists each, and defenseman Tyler Smith scored two goals as well.The Pioneers’ other goal came from defenseman Jeremy Young.Sophomore Joey Bassi played well in the nets for the 6-1 Pioneers.Revere 4, Gloucester 4At Talbot Rink in Gloucester, R.J. Tiorano’s third goal of the game, at the 7:17 mark of the third period, lifted Revere (2-3-2) to the tie.The Patriots grabbed a 2-1 lead after a period on two goals by Tiorano, and the lead was 3-2 after two, with Peter Marino scoring for Revere.But third-period goals by Mike Russo (his third) and Coltyn Rivas gave the Fishermen a 4-3 lead before Tiorano struck, with an assist by Marco Mazzarelli.”It felt good to get the point,” said Revere coach Jim Palumbo, whose goalie, John Patsodora, faced 46 shots.St. Mary’s 9, Coyle-Cassidy 1At Connery Rink, the Spartans dedicated the game to the late Patrick Reddy, who died in an auto accident five years ago Sunday.
