SAUGUS – The Saugus Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing today for a pair of potential new businesses in town, a pizza and sub shop and an Internet cafe.Fat Fingers Pizza, Ice Cream & Gelato would be a new restaurant at the Village Parks Shopping Center at 343 Main St. next to the Lynn Fells Parkway. A new storefront and sign are already up at the location, which manager Dale Sarno said will serve pizza, subs, burgers, fries, ice cream and gelato. In an application to the Board of Selectmen, Sarno said the restaurant will feature a TV and jukebox, and during the summer a sliding window will be open to serve ice cream to go. The license application states the restaurant will seat 18 and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. seven days a week. The Cyber Palace Internet Cafe bills itself as a family-run business that would provide customers with Internet access for a price. Located at Gottfried?s Plaza on Route 1 North just past Walnut Street, Cyber Palace will have seating for up to 50 people, and according to the license application will have coffee and snacks along with a TV and music.?We?re just trying to see what we can do and we?re hoping for the best,” said Dan Losano, husband of owner Diane Losano. Both businesses will go before the Board of Selectmen tonight at 7 p.m.Matt Tempesta can be reached at [email protected].
