LYNN – Bank foreclosure officials arriving at a Lynn home today were greeted by about 20 protesters, who showed up to try to prevent the auction of an elderly couple’s home that they’ve lived in for half a century.Cheryl D’Amico, who’s battling cancer, and her husband, Tony D’Amico, who recently had bypass surgery, got behind on their mortgage because of their medical bills and are now facing foreclosure.”It breaks my heart to even think I have to leave,” D’Amico said on the sidewalk outside her home today.Read Wednesday’s paper to find out what happened at the couple’s home.
