LYNN – A New Hampshire man facing attempted murder and assault charges after his alleged involvement in two drug-related shootings in Stoneham and Saugus was ordered held without bail in Lynn District Court on Tuesday.Steven A. Ferrer, 21, of 172 Brady Ave., Salem, N.H., was arrested and charged with armed assault to murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and reckless operation of a motor vehicle on Monday at 2:38 p.m.Judge Stacey Fortes-White ordered Ferrer held without bail, pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Thursday.According to a police report filed in court by Saugus Police Det. Sgt. David T. Gecoya, Ferrer was allegedly involved in a drug theft that spurred a car chase and two shootings on Jan. 2.The incident began with a planned marijuana deal, according to the police report. Police said Ibrahim Bouras-Saiah, 19, and Diego Borgas, 19, met Ferrer, Jordan James and a third man referred to as ?G,’ whom the report described as “a skinny Spanish male who was neatly groomed and wearing a black North Face hat and jacket,” in Stoneham. At approximately 6:40 p.m., a man identified as Werner Heideriqui arrived, according to the police report.”At approximately 6:40 p.m., (Heideriqui) arrived on scene,” the report notes. “Heideriqui had in his possession a Guess duffel bag which contained approximately 5 ounces of marijuana. Once (Heideriqui) showed the marijuana, James stole the marijuana and, in the process, shot Heideriqui.”Both parties fled the scene, according to the police report. James allegedly fled in a brown Chevy Tahoe with New Hampshire plates allegedly driven by Ferrer. Bouras-Saiah fled with Borgas in the latter’s Geo Prizm, the report notes.”Approximately two minutes later, as Borgas and Bouras-Saiah were fleeing ? the Tahoe appeared behind them and a chase ensued,” the report states, saying the cars were now in Saugus. “The Tahoe pulled aside the driver’s side and struck it ? also, as the Tahoe came upon them, at least three bullets were fired out of the rear right passenger window of the Tahoe by Jordan James with one striking Diego Borgas in the left thigh. The Tahoe then fled the area.”Bouras-Saiah and Borgas went to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital where Borgas was treated and Bouras-Saiah was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to the police report.Police said they found the Tahoe’s license number in Bouras-Saiah’s cellphone, and obtained a warrant for Salem, N.H. police to search the vehicle and the residence where the vehicle was parked. Police recovered ammunition and a handgun. The Tahoe’s interior appeared to have been cleaned, but the truck allegedly showed damage consistent to the damage sustained by Borgas’ car, according to the report.James was arrested by Lynn Police on Jan. 4 and transferred to Saugus Police, according to Lt. Dave Brown of the Lynn Police. Saugus Police had requested an arrest warrant for James on the charges of armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and carrying a firearm without a license, according to the Saugus Police report.Essex County District Attorney Spokesperson Carrie Kimball Monahan said she could not confirm James’ current status when reached Tuesday evening.Cyrus Moulton can be reached at [email protected].
