The Swampscott swimming team found itself in a stalemate against Salem, as Swampscott tied Salem 90-90 at Swampscott Tuesday night.Swampscott coach Meaghan Simpson was pleased with her team’s performance.”It was a very good and competitive meet for my team tonight. All my kids swam well and that is all I can ask for,” Simpson said.The Big Blue had three different winners: Samantha Rogers, 100 breaststroke; Danielle Mayblyum, diving and Mischa Kuyuzuv, 200 IM. Phil Turner finished second in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. The effort broke the old mark (6-5) set by Josh Nicholson in 1994. Nicholson went on to do the high jump and hurdles at Harvard.The Eagles (4-2) had several other first-place finishers in the loss. Bryan Browne won the 300 meters (36.45) and 55-meter dash (6.76); David Roy, the shot put (47-9) and the 25-pound (47-9). The latter was an exhibition event.
