Lynn-area Ys to raffle off Super Bowl tix

LYNN – The Lynn Y, along with the Ys in Peabody, Saugus and Melrose, are raffling off two all-inclusive package trips to Super Bowl XLVI.Lynn Y Chief Executive Bruce MacDonald said tickets, $100 each, are available at each of the Ys and the winners will be drawn Feb. 1 at 6 p.m. at the Torigian Family Y, 295 Lynnfield St., Peabody. Only 300 raffle tickets will be sold per winning Super Bowl package.”This is the fourth time we’ve done this,” he said, including the last three years the Patriots went to the Super Bowl.Winners will be part of a trip to Indianapolis hosted by TV sports personality Bob Lobel that includes round-trip air for two; three nights hotel accommodations; airport, hotel and game day transfers; tickets to the game; and lots of extras.The trip is organized through Dan Pranka and New England Sports Tours, MacDonald said.Proceeds will benefit the four Ys, which recently merged and are collectively known as The YMCA of Metro North.Ticket locations: In addition to the Peabody Y, tickets are available at the Lynn Y, 20 Neptune Blvd., Lynn; the Melrose Y, 497 Main St., Lynn and the Saugus Family Y, 298 Main St., Saugus.
