SALEM – The jury listened to opening statements and began hearing witness testimony today in the murder trial of Fernando Aristy, who is accused of killing a Lynn man outside a Lynn warehouse in October 2010.Assistant District Attorney Maureen Wilson-Leal asked her first witness, Kellie Boid, a longtime friend of Chad McDonald’s, to recall the day she found him bloody and swollen in his office, where he had been without medical aid since the fight 12 hours earlier.”I knew it was him, but it didn’t look like Chad,” Boid told the courtroom.Aristy, 25, is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly striking McDonald several times in the head with a wooden board on Oct. 9, 2010,in the driveway of a warehouse located at 37 Bennett St., Lynn.Read the full story in Friday’s Daily Item.
