SAUGUS – Central Street in Saugus is reopened after Fire Capt. Donald Shea said Verizon workers digging a new utility pole struck a gas main on Juliette Road.Crews from National Grid patched the ruptured pipe at around 230.Shea said homes in the are were checked for gas vapors.
