The Swampscott baseball team came back from an 8-6 deficit Tuesday with five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Then, the Big Blue had to sweat out a seventh inning in which Marblehead scored two runs and had the tying and winning runs on first and second.The result was a wild 11-10 victory over the Magicians as the Blue raised their record to 5-2 (4-2 in the Northeastern Conference/South).”When the game finally ended, it was time to take a deep breath,” said Swampscott coach T.J. Baril. “It was certainly a game you’d expect between Swampscott and Marblehead.”Mike Walsh led off the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run. From there, the Big Blue chipped away, getting one run on a pinch-hit single by Justin Perry, another on Frank Legere’s sacrifice fly, one more on a walk, and one on a wild pitch.Offensively, Sean O’Brien, who also nailed down the save, was 2-for-2 with two doubles, three RBI, and two runs. The first two innings were scoreless, but North Andover put one on the board in the third, only to have Lynnfield’s Peter Franchi tie the game with a solo home run in the fourth. North Andover scored in the fifth, but Lynnfield got two in the sixth when two batters, John Festa and DeHuelle, were hit by pitches to drive in runs. Chris Lang had an RBI single to make it 4-1 after six and in the seventh, Dylan Costa cracked a solo home run and Carmine DiCesare followed soon after with a two-run homer for the final.St. John’s Prep 1, Everett 0At Danvers, senior Rory Garrison drew a pinch-hit walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh to give the Eagles (8-1) the win. Dustin Hunt went 5 2/3 innings for The Prep (3-0), allowing five hits, striking out seven and walking two. The two walks came in the seventh inning and loaded the bases, but Rob DiFranco came in and got the strikeout and the win.Danvers 9, Gloucester 3At Danvers, Ray Orocho went all the way, giving up three hits and striking out 10.
