My team did not play the best game in the world on the offensive side, but Ruotolo’s dominance really hid our mistakes. Marblehead is a very good team as well, which makes Ruotolo’s performance that much more special,” Bettencourt said.Ruotolo finished with a line of seven innings, 13 strikeouts, three walks, and zero hits. The Peabody offense broke a scoreless tie in the second inning, when Frank Lowry hit an RBI double that scored George Tsonis to make the score 1-0. In the third inning, the bases were loaded and Tsonis hit a sac fly that scored Genaro Ciulla. Aaron Comak then hit an RBI single that scored Casey Grenier and made the score 3-0.
