LYNN – Police arrested a Lynn woman Wednesday night after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the shoulder with a syringe needle, according to a police report filed in Lynn District Court Thursday.Officers responded to 2 Kingsley Terrace in Lynn around 9 p.m. after a man reported being stabbed with a needle by his girlfriend, Patricia Ross, 47, according to the report. The man had a bleeding puncture mark in his left shoulder, the report said, and told EMTs he believed the tip of the needle had become embedded in his shoulder. He was transported to Union Hospital for treatment.The syringe did not contain any substance, the report said.The man also alleged Ross poured bleach on a pile of his clothing, and officers observed a pile of clothes outside the residence that emitted a strong odor of bleach, according to the report.When officers spoke with Ross, she denied pouring bleach on the clothes and said, “He?s lying, he stabbed himself,” the report said, but the officers detected a “very strong” bleach odor coming from Ross? own clothes.Police had responded to the residence twice earlier in the evening after Ross had reported that she wanted the alleged victim to leave the apartment,Police charged Ross with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (needle and syringe) and malicious destruction of propertyLynn District Court Assistant Clerk John Fleming, who was filling in for the district court judges while they attend a conference, ordered Ross released on her own personal recognizance, according to court documents.
