SAUGUS – A Saugus woman was arrested early Sunday morning after she allegedly broke into her ex-boyfriend?s home and beat him and another woman with one of her shoes, according to a Saugus Police report.Police charged Lisa Brangiforte, 45, last known address of 14 Indian Rock Drive, with felony breaking and entering nighttime, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (blunt object) at around 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the report, which listed the incident as a “lover?s quarrel.”A 44-year-old Saugus man told officers Brangiforte, who is his ex-girlfriend, broke into his home late Saturday night, entered his bedroom and began beating him and his new girlfriend with a high-heeled shoe, according to the report.?He stated that she struck him several times with the shoe?then turned and hit (the woman) with the shoe until the shoe fell to the floor,” Officer Daniel Wing wrote in his report.Brangiforte also allegedly punched the woman in the face and shoulder numerous times, the report said, and scratched the man on his legs with her fingernails before grabbing the shoe and fleeing the house.The male victim told police he and Brangiforte broke up just over two weeks ago, and that she used to live with him but he has changed the locks since then. She may have entered through an unlocked garage door, or may have had a remote control for the garage, he told them.Brangiforte told police she and the man are “still engaged to be married,” but that she moved out days ago. She said she came to the house “to check up on him,” and “found him in bed with a married woman,” according to the report.Judge Albert Conlon ordered Brangiforte released on personal recognizance in District Court Monday. He ordered her to stay away from and have no contact with the two alleged victims. She is due back in court Aug. 23.Taylor Provost can be reached at [email protected].
