An opening night postponement due to thunderstorms and a change in venue did nothing to slow down Revere Saturday afternoon as the Patriots ran over Greater Boston League foe Medford, 26-0, at Hormel Stadium.Senior captain and quarterback Joe Ritchie threw touchdown passes of 10 and 20 yards to senior captain Kyle Gotham and added a 40-yard run for a third score. Junior Tommy Portrait rushed for 85 yards and anchored a stout defensive effort with two interceptions, including a 40-yard touchdown return.”Overall it was a good performance by us. We played a very good first half. It was pretty sloppy in the third. We had a number of penalties and need to clean those up but, all in all, it was a very nice win,” said coach Lou Cicatelli, whose club had three scores erased by infractions. “The whole defense was stellar for four quarters. Medford was only in the red zone once. It was just an awesome effort.”Cicatelli also praised the play of running backs Bobby Rose, Andy Restiano and Colin Ajindah.
