And Tisei had 6,590 votes to 5,897 for Tierney.The right-to-repair ballot question passed 10,811 to 1,798, while the physician-assisted suicide question failed 7,548 to 5,690 and medical marijuana passed 7,524 to 5,621.Peter Rossetti retained his seat on the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School Committee over Arthur Grabowski 7,602 to 2,515.”In Swampscott, Obama beat Romney 4,899 to 3.202; Warren beat Brown 4,229 to 3,982; Tierney received 4,261 votes to Tisei’s 3,384.For Question 1, 6,247 people voted yes and 888 voted no; on Question 2, there were 4,272 yes votes to 3,691 no votes, and on Question 3, 4,272 voted in favor and 3,691 voted against.In Nahant, it was Obama over Romney, 1,358 to 893; Warren over Brown, 1,186 to 1,099; Tierney over Tisei, 1,198 to 935.On the ballot questions, the yes votes beat the no votes 1,815 to 233 in right-to-repair, the yes votes outnumbered the no votes 1,176 to 1,036 on physician-assisted suicide, and it was 1,442 to 762 in favor of medical marijuana.Obama and Biden carried the night in Revere with 65.16 percent of the Revere vote, defeating Romney and Ryan 11,141 to 5,560. Warren defeated Brown with 58.54 percent of the vote, accruing 10,009 votes to Brown’s 6,809.Ballot questions followed statewide results. Sixty-eight percent of voters approved right-to-repair legislation, while 51.9 percent of voters approved medicinal marijuana in Question 3. Physician-assisted suicide failed, however, with 8,905 voters, representing 52 percent of the voters, rejecting the second ballot question.In Peabody, Obama, Brown and Tierney were the big winners, according to results from the city clerk’s office.Obama garnered 15,010 votes to Romney’s 11,616 votes. Brown received 14,382 votes to Warren’s 12,498 votes.Tierney defeated Tisei in Peabody 13,476 to 11,587.Meanwhile, the ballot questions mirrored state results, with Question 1 passing 19,816 to 3,793; Question 2 failing 10,726 to 14,864; and Question 3 passing with 14,363 voters saying “yes” and 11,091 “no” votes.Joan Lovely won a seat in the State Senate easily with 17,319 votes while Richard A. Jolitz garnered 7,128 votes.Theodore C. Speliotis also won reelection as state representative,, defeating Daniel C.
