NAHANT – A broken drain line in the ground found Thursday at the Tides Restaurant will deter the local hotspot from opening Saturday as previously planned.?Thank God it didn’t happen when we opened,” said owner Mike O’Callaghan on Friday.He said water could not be run in building with the broken line.O’Callaghan reported the crews had been working since Thursday to correct the problem and it would be fixed by Saturday.The restaurant will re-open the next day, on Sunday, at 11:30 a.m., with closing time at midnight.Tides Restaurant closed in September due to an electrical fire.Read the full story in Saturday’s edition of The Daily Item
