NAHANT – Nahant Police confirmed a house at 139 Wilson Road was vacant at the time of a fire Thursday evening that called four fire departments to the scene.Lynn, Marblehead, and Swampscott assisted Nahant Fire in a blaze that was called in by an unidentified caller who was driving past the property at 7:50 p.m. Thursday, according to police reports.The single-family, three-bedroom house is for sale. According to Patriot Properties, the house belongs to David Migliaccio and is valued at $406,400.According to reports, firefighters arrived on scene at 7:55 p.m. and were clear at 1:24 a.m. Friday. Police stayed on scene until the house was boarded up at the request of the state fire marshal.Officer Tim Furlong said Friday the fire started in the basement and caused “pretty significant” damage to the house, though he couldn?t confirm a dollar amount.?The first floor was totaled and the second floor had heavy smoke damage,” Furlong recalled.The cause of the fire remains unknown, pending an ongoing investigation.
