LYNN — About 4,000 National Grid customers in Lynn were without power Saturday morning due to a blown fuse, said National Grid spokeswoman Charlotte McCormack.

McCormack said a faser, which connects wires, blew at about 10:30 a.m., shutting off electricity to 4,000 Lynn customers. About half of those customers had their lights turned back on shortly after, and the rest were fully restored by 11:39 a.m. Saturday, McCormack said, though several Lynn residents said their power did not turn on until 1 p.m. Saturday.

McCormack said the faser malfunctioned.
