PEABODY — Peabody Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at around 8:55 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release from Det. Michael Crane.
Police responded to 197 Washington St. #3 to investigate a report of possible gunshots. The release states that officers found one male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the thigh. The victim was treated and transported to Massachusetts General Hospital. The release states the injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
Crane said the incident “does not appear to be a random act” and no arrests have been made.
