Nothing has been able to stop the Lynnfield wrestling team from winning this season, including an abbreviated Christmas break. The Pioneers got right back on track after the short vacation with a dual-meet victory over 10 south shore teams on Saturday in North Attleboro.
“It was a nice victory for us coming off of the break,” said Pioneers coach Craig Stone. “We won our last tournament in Pentucket before the break and were able to come out strong again today.”
Lynnfield had four champions on the day to go along with five runner ups. Tom Arseneault won at 220 while John Klug took the victory at 182. Joe Morse (106) and Eric Kerr (113) won for Lynnfield in the lighter weight classes.
The Pioneers got second place performances from Scott McGrath (120), Joey Wise (126), Lucas Pascucci (132), Travis Clark (138), and Andrew Kibarian (285). Lynnfield had two third-place finishers also in Alex Pascucci and Chris Connor at 145 and 195 respectively.
The win improves the Pioneers record to a perfect 12-0 on the season.
