Peabody High cross country runner Catarina Rocha has won her second straight Gatorade state girls cross country runner of the year award for Massachusetts, according to published reports.
Rocha, a senior, has made a verbal commitment to attend Providence.
In her final season of cross country, she repeated as state champion in Division 1 and helped the Tanners win a team title. She went on to win the regionals and then finished second at nationals.
