ALLSTON — State Police said a 27-year-old Lynn man ran a stop sign in Brighton this weekend, and the resulting traffic stop led to the man and five other people being arrested for drug charges and a warrant.
“Trooper (Matthew) Clark recovered more than 11 grams of cocaine, almost 7 grams of methamphetamine, under an ounce of marijuana, and other items including a scale and numerous glass vials” from the car, State Police said in a press release Monday.
Brian Poitras, 27, of Lynn was charged with possession to distribute methamphetamine, possession to distribute cocaine, possession to distribute marijuana, conspiracy to violate the drug laws and a civil citation to include operating a motor vehicle after license revocation as a habitual traffic offender, speeding, failure to stop/yield and failing to wear a seatbelt.
Three other individuals in the car – Kristen Hosman, 29, of Salem, Victor Cordino, 29, of Allston and Cameron Linehan, 22, of Somerville – were arrested and each charged with possession to distribute methamphetamine, possession to distribute cocaine, possession to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to violate the drug laws, according to police.
Police said Cordino asked them to tell his roommates that he was being arrested, according to the release. Police said they were familiar with Cordino’s 32 Rugg St., Brighton address from responding to parties and knew there was no phone. Police “were met with a strong odor of trash and stale alcohol, and observed trash and empty alcohol containers strewn across the floor” when a person answered the door at the address, according to the press release.
Paige Hamm, 18, of Bridgewater and Agalov Vsevolod, 23, of Ashland were among four people present at “what appeared to be a musical rehearsal space that was not fit as a residence.” The two were arrested for possession of a Class B substance and an outstanding warrant, respectively, police said.
All were scheduled to appear in Brighton District Court Monday.
