BOSTON (AP) — A winter storm hitting Massachusetts has forced some school closures and made for messy morning commute.
The National Weather Service says snowfall totals are expected to be anywhere from an inch to six inches of snow across the state, with more in northern and western parts of the state.
State police are reporting spinouts across the state, which is delaying already slow-moving traffic.
The snow is expected to taper off later Wednesday morning and turn to rain in some areas.
Most school closings and delayed openings were in central and western parts of the state, with none in the Greater Lynn area.
Schools were also open in Boston.
