The Buckeroo Roundup gives everyone a chance to test his or her cowboy or cowgirl skills — ride a pony or a mechanical bull; try your hand at roping or branding. And there’s nothing better than lunch cooked and served from a chuck wagon. Authentic wagons head to Pigeon Forge each year to compete in a cook-off and then feed hungry crowds. You best be ready when the dinner bell rings, as more than 600 folks will show up to get a taste of the West.
Concerts are king at Saddle Up. In addition to multi-performer shows, there are two dinner shows and one special entertainer showcase called “Stories & Strings.” Both offer great opportunities to get up close and personal with the cowboy performers.
When the concerts end, it’s time to move to the dance floor. Saddle Up is a great place to show off your skills, whether it’s a two-step, a waltz or a polka. Not a dancer? No problem. Pull up a chair and enjoy the music.
Then there’s a chuck wagon breakfast, followed by Cowboy Church, a non-denominational service where everyone is welcome.
