LYNN – Lynn Police arrested a second man in connection with a March armed robbery of a local barbershop.Moises Rodriguez, 21, of 100 Johnson St. #2, was arrested and charged with five counts of masked armed robbery and five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, a gun, on Friday at 10:55 a.m., according to records obtained from Lynn District Court.Lynn District Court Judge Dominic Paratore ordered Rodriguez held on $75,000 cash bail at his arraignment on Friday.Police responded to an armed robbery at D’Clasico Barbershop on Western Avenue on March 22, according to police reports. Victims told police three Hispanic males robbed the shop, two of whom were armed with large “kitchen-type knives” and one with a gun, according to the report.According to victim statements, one suspect placed a knife to a customer’s throat who was sitting in a barber chair while one suspect stood by the front door “brandishing a black handgun.” The third suspect then robbed four customers and employees of cash and jewelry.Victims were able to identify two of the suspects, including Rodriguez, through photos and police made their first arrest on March 28 when Luis Torres, 18, of 66 Linden St. #2, was arrested on a warrant and charged with five counts of armed robbery and five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.Torres was held on $55,000 cash bail. One victim was able to identify him by a tattoo of a musical note behind his ear when he previously came in for a haircut, said the report.Rodriguez and Torres are both due back in court on April 18.Matt Tempesta can be reached at [email protected].
