LYNN — Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday afternoon on Union Street but reported no injuries in the incident.
Lynn Police Capt. Michael Mageary said an incident report recorded shots were fired into 247 Union St. at approximately 1:57 p.m. Tuesday.
Police cordoned off an area on the sidewalk outside the address, a mobile phone store, and part of the sidewalk near Caruso’s Pizza to collect ballistic evidence.
A manager at the address declined to speak on the record Wednesday. But Caruso’s employee Alam Sayed said he heard two shots outside on the street, which he first thought was a car backfiring. Other merchants in the area Wednesday afternoon reported they did not witness the incident.
Mageary said in a voicemail Wednesday morning that nobody was injured in the incident and police had not made any arrests.
