LYNN — A man who has been contracted to do work at the pier at Lynn’s Seaport Marina is missing, setting off a search in and around the Lynn Harbor area Thursday afternoon.
The man’s phone, wallet and life jacket are on the pier, but officials can’t locate the man, according to Lynn Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy, who is on the scene as of 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
Coast Guard, Lynn Police, Lynn Fire and Massachusetts State Police are all participating in the search effort.
Lynn Fire Deputy Chief Tim Collier said the man, who has yet to be identified, was first noticed missing shortly before 3 p.m.
