LYNN – Police confirmed they recovered a body from Lynn Harbor Friday.Lynn Police Lt. Thomas Reddy said that State Police divers working with Lynn Police investigators recovered a male body near the Seaport Marina at approximately 11 a.m.Reddy said the person has been identified but police cannot release the man’s name, pending notification of his family.View photos from the searchLynn District Fire Chief Tim Collier said the man was working on the Seaport Marina pier when he was reported missing by coworkers shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. Mayor Judith Flanagan Kennedy, who arrived at the pier around 4:30 p.m., said the man had left behind his wallet, phone and life jacket on the pier.The Coast Guard, dispatched by Lynn Fire at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, suspended the search at 10:23 a.m. Friday, according to spokesperson Robert Simpson.Kait Taylor can be reached at [email protected] Moulton can be reached at [email protected].
