CHELSEA – A Revere man might get his wish, after he and his wife allegedly admitted to dealing heroin and crack cocaine from their home in public housing and the man said he did it because he wanted to move out of the projects.”(The defendant) then apologized to Detective Impemba and stated, “?I was only selling drugs out of the house until I could get enough money to move out of the projects,'” Revere Police Officer Robert Impemba wrote in a report.Michael J. Oldoni, 55, and Jean Oldoni, of 145 Cooledge St., Revere, were arrested and each charged with possession with intent to distribute Class A heroin; possession with intent to distribute Class B crack cocaine; and conspiracy to violate drug law; at 12 p.m. Saturday.Massachusetts General Law chapter 139, subsection 19 allows housing authorities to evict a person without a hearing in certain instances including when a tenant “on or adjacent to housing authority property, unlawfully possessed, sold, or possessed with intent to distribute a controlled substance.”Revere Police Lt. John Goodwin said Tuesday that the arrests resulted from a month-long investigation involving surveillance and two undercover drug buys at the Oldoni residence. He said the investigation began after police received complaints from residents in the Cooledge Street and Constitution Avenue neighborhood.Police pulled the couple over Saturday after receiving information that Michael Oldoni was going to deal drugs, according to Impemba’s report. Police found a bag of suspected heroin and a bag of suspected crack cocaine in Michael Oldoni’s pants pocket, police said.Police said Michael Oldoni admitted that his wife, Jean Oldoni, might have a couple of bags of drugs in her purse. She also admitted she had more drugs, according to police.Impemba reported the purse contained suspected crack cocaine; suspected heroin; a Valium and half an Oxycodone pill; drug paraphernalia including a digital scale with white residue, a homemade crack pipe, and plastic bags; $4,058 cash; and a 2013 calendar that detailed “drugs, customers and monies owed.”Impemba reported finding more drug paraphernalia and a drug ledger at the couple’s home.Prosecutors requested $2,500 cash bail for Michael Oldoni and $500 cash bail for Jean Oldoni at their arraignment Monday in Chelsea District Court, according to Renee Nadeau Algarin, deputy press secretary at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s OfficeJudge Benjamin Barnes ordered $500 bail for Michael Oldoni and released Jean on her own recognizance, according to court documents.Michael Oldoni’s attorney could not be reached Tuesday. Attorney Mike Capone, representing Jean Oldoni, said Tuesday that he could not comment on the case. Both Oldonis are scheduled to return to court June 25.A woman who answered the phone at the Oldonis’ residence declined to comment Wednesday.But police said both Michael and Jean Oldoni were contrite.”Michael Oldoni continued to apologize for the mistake of distributing narcotics out of his home at 145 Coolege St., Revere, Mass. and stated he learned from his mistake,” Impemba reported. “During the booking of Jean Oldoni she kept stating to detectives that she was scared, and also learned from her mistakes and ?would never deal drugs again.'”
