The Pioneers broke the game open in the fifth, as Lynnfield put up three runs. Lynnfield’s Greg Basilesco hit an RBI single and Traverse Briana hit a clutch two-run double to give the Pioneers a comfortable 9-4 lead. Pentucket had a three-run inning of its own in the bottom of the sixth, and it could have been an even bigger inning.
