The Marblehead softball team had its own fireworks Saturday at the middle school field during a 10-5 win over Gloucester.The Magicians hit four home runs – all of them over the fence – and three of them were by catcher Emily Messinger, who basically did it all.Messinger knocked in six runs with her homers – a solo job, a three-run jack, and a two-run job. Also going deep was centerfielder Rachel McKay, who was 2-for-4. Olivia Vener was also 2-for-4.Messinger also threw out two Gloucester baserunners.Pitcher Michaela LeBlanc won her seventh game of the season, striking out seven. The Magicians (7-4, 7-2) jumped to a 5-0 lead in the first inning.St. Mary’s 19, North Shore 3At Middleton, the Spartans (7-3) took out last Friday’s tough loss to Spellman on the Bulldogs, with Alison Butler going 5-for-5 with four RBI and Cassi LaFauci going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Mia Nowicki and Jordan D’Orsi combined for 11 strikeouts with only one walk. But Lynnfield rattled off four goals over seven minutes and tied the game at 14.After another Royals score, Lynnfield scored twice within the next minute to take the lead back.Sophomore Paige MacEachern again dominated the draws with 17.Senior captain Kate Lucich had five goals and captain Jess Miles added four.
