Starting pitcher Jorge Perez helped his own cause by scoring the winning run in the 12th inning as Classical (6-10) upset the high-powered Peabody Tanners, 3-2, in Peabody.Perez, who pitched 11 innings to pick up the victory, hit a one-out triple off Mike Raymond to right-centerfield, and he scored on an errant throw into the stands. Perez allowed just one walk while fanning five batters.
