SALEM – Salem Theatre Company concludes its 10th anniversary season with a production of Edward Albee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, A Delicate Balance, with performances tonight through June 1.The production is directed by STC Artistic Director John Fogle.Hailed as one of the great American plays of the 20th Century, A Delicate Balance focuses on the carefully manicured lives of suburban socialites Agnes and Tobias and their country club existence. But when uninvited guests in the clutches of an unnamed terror invade their home, their tidy lives threaten to veer off-track and tumble into disarray. The New York Times called the play “?an evening of theatrical fireworks!”The cast features company favorites Sarah Carlin of Beverly, Linda Goetz of Newton, and STC Main Stage newcomers Lida McGirr, Sharon Mason, Jeffrey Phillips and Chuck Schwager.A Delicate Balance is sponsored by Beverly Cooperative Bank, supported by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council (a state agency) and will have performances over four weeks in the STC Theater at 90 Lafayette St., Salem now through June 1.
