Everyone came out and played well.”The Eagles winners were: Chris Toner at first singles, 6-1, 6-1; Dan Cunningham at second singles, 6-1, 6-2; Nico Limacher at third singles, 6-0, 6-1; Ian Wright and Sean Nork at first doubles, 6-3, 6-4; and Alec McNiff and John Shaffer at second doubles, 2-6, 7-5, 10-7.Metropolis said that the Eagles’ win in first doubles “set the tone early,” as Westford had previously ousted the Prep’s first and second doubles teams in the individual tournament. Yet Wright and Nork built a 3-1 lead en route to a victory on Saturday.The Eagles advanced to the state semifinals against BC High, scheduled for today at Newton South (3:30 p.m.). The Prep split a pair with BC High during the regular season, winning 3-2 and losing 4-1.
