LYNN – A judge ordered an Easton man held without bail after a woman told police she dumped the man, and he responded by choking her and telling her he would only go away if the woman “hurt him or he got arrested.”The man allegedly later returned to the house after warning the alleged victim.”He told her he was coming back so she should call the police again,” Lynn Police Officer John Meaney wrote in a report.Ali Abdallah-Muhammed, 21, of 41 Foundry St., Easton, was arrested and charged with domestic assault-and-battery at 3:43 p.m. Sunday.Police responded to a report of a possible domestic Sunday morning and spoke with Abdallah-Muhammed and the alleged victim.The alleged victim told police the couple had a verbal disagreement, according to the report. The alleged victim was crying “but did not elaborate on the subject at that time,” police said. Officers said Abdallah-Muhammed left the apartment.But the alleged victim called police again later that afternoon and said Abdallah-Muhammed had returned and was kicking her door, according to police. When police responded the second time, they reported that the alleged victim was alone.She told police she and Abdallah-Muhammed had argued at first because he was playing music with offensive lyrics that she didn’t want her young children to hear. She said she told Abdallah-Muhammed they were breaking up, and he refused to believe it, police reported. But Abdallah-Muhammed eventually left after meeting with police.Then the defendant called the victim, showed up at her apartment and tried to kick in the door, according to the alleged victim. When she and her children were at the police station and an emergency restraining order was issued, the alleged victim said Abdallah-Muhammed had physically abused her.”(She) then told us that she was afraid to tell us earlier that (Abdallah-Muhammed) had grabbed her by the throat and choked her,” Meaney reported.Police documented scratches to the alleged victim’s throat.Assistant District Attorney Erin Bellavia requested Abdallah be held pending a dangerousness hearing at Abdallah-Muhammed’s arraignment in Lynn District Court Monday.
