LYNN – Lynn Police arrested three city men after court records show officers found marijuana, cash and a “ninja-type sword” in their car.Kadeem Greene, 19, of 196 Locust St., Sean R. Bucklin, 19, of 11 Falls St. and Joshua Gonzalez, 19, of 54 Herschel St., were all arrested and charged with possession of a class D drug with intent to distribute, possession of a dangerous weapon and drug violation within 100 feet of a park or playground (Kearney Park) on Thursday at 2:40 a.m.Lynn District Court Judge Stacey Fortes released the three on personal recognizance at their arraignment on Friday.According to police records, officers observed several people inside a car parked in a parking spot for Kearney Park at around 2:40 a.m. An officer approached the car and the report states the occupants “immediately started to show signs of nervous behavior.”The report states the officer was “overcome with an overpowering odor of marijuana coming out of the vehicle” while he was talking to them.Police searched the car and found several sandwich bags of marijuana, two scales, a sock with $671 in cash and a “large heavy duty plastic bag that Officer Holey advised me is what the pound size marijuana deliveries come in before it is broken down ?” said the report.Police then searched under the passenger seat and found a large black knife in a holster that “almost resembled a ‘ninja’ type sword,” said the report. The report states the sword was approximately 14 inches long.Police also seized an additional $510 from the three suspects, said the report.Greene, Bucklin and Gonzalez are due back in court on Aug. 2.Matt Tempesta can be reached at [email protected].
