It was a puddle-soaked evening for the Lynn Woods Cross Country Races on Wednesday.In the 5.72-mile Gate to Pennybrook Gate race, Mark Dawson of Peabody won (33:48), followed by Ryan Hayes of Woburn (35:26) and Abigal Singleton of Lynn (36:15). The top Lynn male finisher, Bob Berry, placed fourth ? four seconds behind Singleton at 36:19.In the 2.3-mile Out and Back race, Nicholas Hartmann of Swampscott won in 15:13, followed by Tony Mwangi of Lynn (15:35), Ryan Kelley of Swampscott (16:03) and Matthew Nardiello of Swampscott (16:06). The top female finisher was Sarah Bitterman of Marblehead (18:08) and the top Lynn female finisher was Sara Lamothe, who placed 21st in 20:42.In the 1.59-mile Kids Race, the top finishers were Luke Chase of Reading (11:31), Adam Chase of Reading (12:34) and Colleen Osbahr of Nahant (12:43).Rich Tenorio can be reached at [email protected].
