Lynnfield man arrested for assault at Revere strip club

REVERE – A Lynnfield man was arrested for assault Sunday morning after allegedly threatening people at a strip club with a pellet gun and what victims believed to be a knife, police said.Robert P. Marley, 54, of 18 Lakeview Drive, Lynnfield, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; disorderly conduct; assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts; and violating a city knife ordinance; at 12:05 a.m. Sunday.Police responded to the Squire Lounge on Squire Road at 12:05 a.m. Sunday on the report of assault, according to the Revere Police Log.Lt. Michael McLaughlin said Sunday that there was a report of a fight at the nightclub involving three alleged victims and Marley. He said the incident is still under investigation, but Marley appears to have stuck a pellet gun against a person and then yelled threats. The alleged victims believed that Marley had a knife but there were no victims cut, no shots fired or serious injury at all, McLaughlin said. He said nobody needed to be taken to the hospital.Marley is expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court Monday.Cyrus Moulton can be reached at [email protected].
