LYNNFIELD – Part of Route 129 was closed for about two hours Wednesday when a trailer carrying PVC piping overturned, according to state police.
No one was injured after the trailer, but not the tractor, tipped over while the driver was trying to turn onto Route 1 North from Route 129 in Lynnfield at 8:05 p.m., reported Trooper Todd Nolan.
The Salem Street ramp was closed while crews cleared the roads, but Route 1 remained open. No other cars were damaged in the incident, and the guardrail was not “significantly” damaged, said Nolan. The road was reopened by 10:30 p.m. and state police inspected the truck as well as the driver?s license and credentials, Nolan reported.
