LYNN – A city man is free on $300 bail but must abide by conditions including that he stay away from a local Kentucky Fried Chicken after a restaurant employee told police he sexually assaulted her while they were working together late one night.”She indicated in her statement that she preferred to be alone rather than be with (the defendant) because she ?wasn’t comfortable with him around,'” Saugus Police Officer Matthew Zichella wrote in a police report. “She informed me that (the defendant) liked to touch female employees and she felt it was inappropriate.”Francisco Carrasco-Sanchez, 45, of 39 Childs St. #2, was arrested and charged with indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over; at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday. He was arraigned on the charge in Lynn District Court on Thursday and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. The alleged victim reported to police in a written statement that working late at work one night, she found herself and Carrasco-Sanchez alone at the restaurant. The alleged victim said she told Carrasco-Sanchez he could leave but she needed to finish paperwork, according to the report.About a half hour later, Carrasco-Sanchez allegedly shut off the lights. When the alleged victim tried to turn them back on, Carrasco-Sanchez stopped her, according to police. He then allegedly grabbed the victim and cornered her as she tried to leave. Carrasco-Sanchez began kissing her on the neck and telling her he loved her while the victim resisted, according to police. The alleged victim told police she escaped, and Carrasco-Sanchez grabbed her by the breast and tried to grab her waist but she ran away, according to the report.Police also viewed a conversation via text message between the alleged victim and a friend about the alleged incident.”One of the cooks stayed with me till late and was harrassing me, I thought I was going to get raped I was so scared,” a message from the alleged victim said.Assistant District Attorney Aimee Conway requested $2,500 cash bail and that Carrasco-Sanchez stay away from the victim and restaurant (from which he has been fired, according to court documents).Attorney Nate Goldstein requested $300 cash bail. He said Carrasco-Sanchez’s family was in the courtroom in support of him and family members echo Carrasco-Sanchez in insisting there must have been a misunderstanding.Goldstein said Carrasco-Sanchez’s ex-wife was even in the audience and told Goldstein the defendant was “a remarkable man.”Judge Joseph Jennings ordered $300 cash bail and the defendant to stay away from the alleged victim and the Kentucky Fried Chicken.Carrasco-Sanchez posted bail immediately and he and family members declined to comment outside the courtroom.
