It goes on to state that they were back again Thursday, this time to conduct surveillance.Officers watched as it appeared a party started at 62 Laighton then around 11:30 p.m. two males sat on the front steps and allegedly were looking at something illuminated by a cell phone. The report states that the two officers approached the young men, identified themselves and when Morales allegedly began to reach for his pocket they yelled at him to stop, frisked him and came up with a .25-caliber Beretta with seven rounds of ammunition in the clip and one round in the chamber. When Detective Christopher Hagerty announced what he had found, Detective Gary Hagerty and Woumn frisked the second suspect and discovered the Ruger .22 caliber revolver, with six rounds of ammunition loaded in the cylinder, according to the report. Woumn also reported that the Ruger was reported stolen out of Peabody in 2011.The younger of the two suspects was ordered to Juvenile Probation after that pair were booked and ordered held by the clerk of courts. Before arresting Morales and his young companion the “strong odor of burning marijuana” lead officers to two other males that led to an outstanding warrant arrest and the seizure of eight bags of marijuana.
