REVERE – Police have arrested a city man in connection with a fatal stabbing at a Revere trailer park Saturday night, Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley’s office announced.
Peter J. Deconinck, 46, of Revere, was arrested and charged with threat to commit crime; disorderly conduct; and murder; Saturday, according to the Revere Police Log.
Deconinck is expected to be arraigned Monday in Chelsea District Court in the alleged killing of Ronald Russo, 50, of Winthrop, according to Conley spokesperson Jake Wark.
Wark said Russo’s body was discovered Saturday inside a blood-spattered trailer at 418 Revere Beach Parkway. Authorities were called to the scene by a civilian at approximately at 8:26 p.m. Saturday and investigators believe the suspect stabbed the victim during a fight. Deconinck was found near the MBTA Beachmont Station with blood on his clothing and a cut on his hand, Wark said.
State Police charged Deconinck with Russo’s homicide “based on evidence recovered at the scene, witness interviews and [Deconinck’s] own statements,” according to Wark.
Several neighbors at the trailer park, located a block away from the Revere Police Station, declined to comment when approached on Sunday evening. Some approached the trailer to speak with a person inside.
A phone number for Deconinck could not be found Sunday.
The police log listed Deconinck as living on Vane Street, but residents of the home who said they owned the property said nobody of that name or of Deconinck’s sex and age lived at the address. A resident at another address listed for Deconinck said he had never heard of the man.
