LYNN – Officials say six people were displaced after a fire broke out in the attic of a Baker Street home Monday afternoon.Firefighters responded to a two-family home at 75 Baker St. just after 1 p.m. Monday. Thin smoke wafted from the attic roof of the home at the corner of Baker and Chase streets, and firefighters had broken a third-floor window to gain access to the home.Lynn District Fire Chief Tim Collier said the fire occurred in the finished attic of the home. He said the cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday evening but the fire may have involved a mattress.The fire was called in at 1:01 p.m. Monday, was declared a working fire at 1:15 p.m. and then the all-out was given at 1:36 p.m., Collier said.He said no injuries were reported. But firefighters and emergency personnel evaluated a young boy at the scene.Volunteers provided a family of four adults and two children with emergency temporary shelter – including a hotel stay and money for food and clothing – as well as provided residents and first responders with food and beverages, according to an email from Red Cross spokesperson Ashley Studley.
