LYNN – More than 200 golfers gathered at Gannon Golf Club for the 19th annual St. Mary’s Golf Open.The event, which featured alumni, friends, parents, students and staff, took place July 31 and raised $95,000 for the school.Also, the tournament honored the late Jack Bradley, a 1952 graduate who became a champion for the school in its revival in the 1990s. Bradley rallied his classmates and friends to support the quest to revitalized the school. Bradley’s wife, brother and children were recognized at the event.Cheryl Meninno ’74 and Mike Reddy ’80 served as co-chairs of the tournament. There were two lead sponsors ($10,000): James G. Baldini ’66 and an anonymous sponsor in memory of Jack Bradley.Other major sponsors included: Golf Cart ($5,000-9,999) – Broadway Electrical, Robert J. Devereaux ’52, McGladrey LLP, Richard J. O’Brien Foundation.The Golf Open marked the first major event for new Assistant Head of School/Principal Dr. Mark DiFabio, who started July 1. A group of St. Mary’s student ambassadors assisted at the event.
