SAUGUS – An early morning police raid in Saugus shut down an alleged marijuana growing operation and seized several guns, according to Saugus Police Lt. Ronald Giorgetti.Saugus Police and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms and Malden Police raided a home at 201 Lincoln Ave. just before 6 a.m. and arrested three men, Giorgetti said.Bernard T. Gadson, of 201 Lincoln Ave. and Rahshjeem Benson, of 61 Camden St., Boston, were arrested and each charged with three counts of illegal possession of a firearm, cultivating a class D substance, possession of ammunition and possession of counterfeit bills on Friday at 5:44 a.m.Jermain Henderson, of 97 Monument St., Medford, was also arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a class D substance.?There were three arrested and they?re being charged with violation of narcotics laws and firearms violations,” said Giorgetti. “The marijuana was an indoor grow operation and there were a number of plants seized.”Giorgetti said the three will likely be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Tuesday, noting police are still investigating.?It?s still an open investigation,” said Giorgetti. “They?re still working on the report and putting it together to formalize all the charges.”
